HUMAN PERFORMANCE SHOOTING
One With The Gun® - Human Performance Shooting is a 16-hour, high-performance pistol and rifle course designed to improve shooting by improving the way the body moves. This program is built on the understanding that speed, recoil control, positional efficiency, and shot accountability are not just products of better trigger press or sight picture. They are also driven by posture, balance, force transfer, body alignment, deceleration, and the ability to move deliberately under pressure.
This course takes concepts commonly found in athletic coaching, tactical athlete development, and motor learning and applies them directly to law enforcement firearms performance. Students will learn how to create more efficient shooting positions, enter and exit positions with greater control, manage movement without destroying stability, and use their body more intelligently to support both pistol and rifle engagements. The result is a shooter who does not just fire better, but moves, stabilizes, and performs better as a complete system.
Course Highlights:
Human Performance Principles for Shooting
Learn how balance, center of mass control, weight transfer, posture, and movement efficiency directly affect firearms performance.
Pistol and Rifle Integration
Train with both weapons systems while learning how body mechanics influence recoil control, stability, and visual processing across platforms.
Stance Organization and Force Transfer
Develop stronger shooting positions by understanding how the lower body supports speed, recoil absorption, and shot accountability.
Movement Efficiency and Positional Entry
Improve the way you enter positions, stop after movement, and arrive ready to shoot instead of having to rebuild your platform.
Visual Stability and Shooting Readiness
Learn how deliberate movement and better body organization improve visual control and target acquisition.
Transitions, Direction Changes, and Positional Flow
Work through drills that improve the way you move between tasks, levels, directions, and shooting problems without wasted motion.
Fatigue Management and Mechanical Efficiency
Pressure-test your ability to maintain structure, discipline, and usable performance as fatigue begins to affect movement and shooting quality.
Integrated Human Performance Shooting Drills
Apply athletic-performance principles to live-fire pistol and rifle exercises that require stability, efficiency, and accountability.
